Hidden Turkey: Yazır Köyü’s Çarşı Mosque
We’ve written about beautiful mosques before, but there’s no reason not to share another masterpiece that seems to be part of the ‘hidden Turkey’. This time, we’re taking you to Yazır Köyü’s Çarşı Mosque, also known as Hacı Ömer Ağa Camii. This little village is tucked away somewhere between Kibyra and Salda Gölü, along the E87 connecting Antalya to Denizli. In the village square, you’ll find an inconspicuous mosque, just as you would in any other Turkish village. Only this time, you need to go in. This is why.
