Why visit Sedir Island? For its crystal clear, turquoise blue waters, white sandy beach, the ruins of Kedrai & the legend of Cleopatra & Anthony!
Sedir Island: home to Cleopatra Beach & Kedrai ancient site
Sometimes culture and nature coexist. That is the case at Sedir Island, a picture-perfect island tucked away in the Gulf of Gökova, between Akyaka and Marmaris. Sedir Island appeals to the imagination with its crystal clear, turquoise blue waters, white sandy beach, lush green setting, and the presence of an antique theatre and other remains of the ancient city of Kedrai. On top of that, there’s a legend saying Cleopatra and Anthony used to swim at the island, hence the name Cleopatra Island or Cleopatra Beach. Intrigued? So were we!
